Recently, the Vogue Adria team spent some time in Florence. The reason was a cover shoot with regional star Senidah for the July issue, and excitement is the word that best describes those few days spent in the cradle of history, art, and the Renaissance. The set for the cover story was the Renaissance villa Corsina, while after a job well done, we would return to our neoclassical retreat, Abitazione, on the northern edge of Florence, feeling like true stars ourselves, because that is exactly what this renovated historic building allows you to feel.
This Time Tomorrow, the luxury travel group behind Abitazione, is redefining urban stays by “offering authentic, design-driven accommodation alongside transformative journeys you won’t find on any menu, for discerning global travelers.” With a strong emphasis on storytelling and an innovative approach to hospitality, the mission of This Time Tomorrow is to enable guests to fully embrace the unique historical and cultural landscapes of their destinations. “With a particular focus on personalization and cultural immersion, the company curates tailor-made journeys that foster exploration and self-discovery,” they tell me, adding that in addition to Abitazione, they also own Riad Dar Al Dall in Marrakech, and are preparing to open additional properties. “This Time Tomorrow invites travelers to explore, experience, and connect with the essence of these iconic destinations in a way that is both responsible and luxurious.”
Travelers of refined taste, driven by experience, who appreciate art, design, food, and wine, and are in search of an “authentic and personalized insider journey,” will find their happy place here.
Located in the Le Cure district, just a twenty-minute walk from the Duomo, Abitazione is a harmonious blend of late 19th-century architecture and traditional Florentine details from the 16th and 17th centuries. The neighborhood itself is steeped in history and was part of Tuscany’s Renaissance revival when architect Giuseppe Poggi led the transformation of the city, this area, and its neighboring landmarks—the Viali di Circonvallazione and the Piazza della Libertà.
“Today, we are part of our own Florentine Renaissance”, says the team at This Time Tomorrow. Architectural firm Space Studio has carefully preserved the noble character of this historic building, restoring frescoes and paintings while reviving the enchanting Cocciopesto Veneziano flooring. “Our Abitazione building now seamlessly combines contemporary comfort with historic grandeur.”

The residence features eight spacious and light-filled apartments, accommodating between two and six guests. The interiors, designed by the team at RecDi8 studio, are a particular highlight. Emphasis is placed on light, order, symmetry, and space, in contrast to the rich velvets and damasks so typical of Florence’s opulent past. Here, contemporary luxury takes center stage while simultaneously celebrating Italy’s rich cultural heritage. Never excessive or overdecorated, always balanced, with functionality at the forefront.
“By uniting Renaissance, Baroque, and Neoclassicism with modern and contemporary styles, our Abitazione reflects Florence itself in miniature.”

At This Time Tomorrow’s residence in Florence, there is no on-site restaurant, but each fully equipped kitchen welcomes you with a generous basket of Tuscan farm-to-table delicacies, which you can easily complement with visits to the nearby vibrant markets. “In addition, your local host Eric can arrange a variety of culinary experiences. In short – you certainly won’t go hungry”, they reassure us at This Time Tomorrow.

The This Time Tomorrow team offers curated stays designed to ensure you want for nothing. Experiences range from wine tastings in the vineyards of Chianti, to a wine-pairing dinner in a 15th-century palazzo, to guided art tours that reveal the city’s hidden history. If your passion lies in the fine arts, you might meet a sculptor in his private Florentine studio, share an espresso before strolling through the city with him, or admire restored masterpieces at Bruno Balzano’s antique gallery, a treasure trove of rare finds. Rise early for a morning hot-air balloon flight and you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of Florence, Siena, and the Tuscan hills as the sun slowly rises above them.
More than just a place to stay, this is an invitation to live hedonism like a local: dine in tucked-away trattorias, gain privileged access to the city’s cultural treasures, and make use of the concierge service courtesy of its well-connected, in-house curators, the kind of care that makes everything easier and within reach.
“If you decide to explore on your own, a wonderful option is a stroll down Via San Gallo, pausing at every gelateria and gallery that catches your eye. Crumb Gallery is a particular gem, featuring exhibitions by emerging artists. Giardino dell’Orticoltura is a small botanical garden with a fairy-tale 19th-century greenhouse, just a few minutes’ walk from your hotel. Caffe Lietta is a charming, plant-filled spot for lunch or an aperitivo on Piazza della Libertà. Whenever you stop by, order a pirulo—a delicate pastry filled with ricotta, flavored with either apple or gianduja, depending on the season. Ristorante Alfredo embodies all the hallmarks of a beloved neighborhood Italian restaurant – local regulars, limoncello, and homemade tortellini -conveniently located right next to your hotel. Taking a break at Bar Fuori Orario is always a good idea, whether for a late-morning espresso and croissant or an evening Negroni at an outdoor table.”
“This Time Tomorrow offers carefully curated stays that immerse you in the soul of our cities. For those seeking life beyond the usual itinerary, every stay becomes a story in motion.”
