I've tried every Summer Fridays product, and this is my "buy again" list

If there is a skincare brand that simultaneously pops up all over my feed and features in serious beauty routines, it is Summer Fridays. From the very first scroll to the last drop in the bottle, every one of their products comes with a hefty dose of hype.

Summer Fridays is one of those popular brands that emerged thanks to social media but quickly became more popular than its founders themselves. I have followed one of them, Marianna Hewitt, since her YouTube days, drawn to her simple and easy-to-apply advice. Her popularity certainly helped the brand gain traction, but it is the effectiveness of the ingredients, the pleasant textures, and the elegance of the packaging that are responsible for this brand’s global growth.

When it was officially launched in Europe last year, just ahead of summer, through Sephora stores, I was lucky enough to have the entire collection land on my desk. After thoroughly testing all the products throughout the summer, autumn, and winter months, I can say with confidence which ones proved to be reliable across different weather conditions.

Top 4 Summer Fridays products I would buy again

Jet Lag Mask

Why it won me over: The Summer Fridays brand actually went viral thanks to Kim Kardashian and her love for this face mask. At its core, it is a combination of a hydrating and nourishing mask. As I travel often, and that is precisely when my skin tends to go a bit wild, this mask quickly became the most important step in my routine. Not only after traveling, but in any situation when the skin finds itself in a stressful phase.

  • Key ingredients: Skin Soothing Complex, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid
  • Ideal for: hydrating and calming the skin

Lip Butter Balm Vanilla

Why it won me over: Lip balms are another product category that made this brand globally popular. The range of flavors is extensive, from cherry and sugar to mint, but the simplest one, with a vanilla scent, proved to be the most effective for me. Many fragrant ingredients, as well as essential oils, do not work well on sensitive lip skin. Instead of nourishing them, they can further worsen chapping. That is precisely why the vanilla version delivered the best results. It leaves the lips exceptionally soft and supple.

  • Key ingredients: shea butter, a blend of waxes, hyaluronic acid
  • Ideal for: lips that are prone to chapping

Jet Lag Deep Hydration Serum

Why it won me over: With hydrating serums, I often encounter three issues. Some have a texture that is too thin and lightweight, others are overly thick, and gel formulas tend to start pilling on the skin after absorption. This serum had none of those drawbacks. On the contrary, it delivers generous hydration and skin-soothing benefits in a silky texture that absorbs easily. After sinking in, it does not leave a tight feeling, but rather an exceptionally pleasant sense of freshness. The skin’s plumper appearance lasts for hours, and it also proved excellent as a base for foundation.

  • Key ingredients: squalane, ceramides, amino acids, aloe vera, niacinamide, a peptide that stimulates hyaluronic acid production in the skin
  • Ideal for: dehydrated skin

Cloud Dew Gel Cream Moisturizer

Why it won me over: One of my personal skincare philosophies is based on the idea that every step in a routine should include at least one soothing ingredient. The skin on the face is exposed to a large number of aggressive external factors every day, so it needs continuous support. This calming gel-cream, as the name suggests, has a cloud-like light texture and, thanks to its formulation, leaves the skin refreshed, the complexion even, and the texture softer. Its only drawback is that I finished it too quickly. I often reapplied it during the day, purely because of the pleasant feeling it leaves on the skin.

  • Key ingredients: vitamin C, amino acids, pro-collagen peptides
  • Ideal for: irritated skin with an uneven complexion
