Winter is the season for Croatia’s wellness hotels you’ll never want to leave

Places where you can rest and recharge

Romana Marušić

October 2, 2025

Honestly? When someone says “vacation,” my brain automatically projects a scene: me, wrapped in a white robe, my face smeared with clay, my gaze drifting somewhere between yoga on a terrace and the sound of ocean waves. No emails, no group chats, just me, maybe someone else who knows how to stay quiet at the right moments, and endless relaxation. Sauna? Absolutely. Massage? Please let it last for hours. I love these little escapes from reality, but I love them even more when they come wrapped in an aesthetically perfect setting, the kind that looks like it stepped straight out of a dream moodboard. Because relaxation is one thing, but relaxation with a dose of luxury? That is my language. That is why we set out to explore and, with great pleasure, put together a list of spa and wellness destinations across the Adriatic, from elegant Opatija to lively Split, places that are not just about restoring the body, but also the soul, style, and, if it suits someone, their Instagram feed.

Keight Hotel Opatija, Opatija

Located in the very heart of Opatija, just a few steps from the sea, Keight Hotel Opatija is the first Croatian hotel under the Curio Collection by Hilton brand. The hotel’s standout feature is its luxurious spa center with the largest indoor pool in Opatija. Guests can enjoy saunas, relaxation areas with a focus on a relax zone featuring a fireplace, revitalizing treatments, an emotional shower, and top tier massages that guarantee complete relaxation of body and mind.
An added touch of magic comes from the outdoor pool with a spacious sun deck, as well as the rooftop bar offering panoramic views of the sea and the city. In the evening hours, the rooftop bar transforms into an exclusive spot to enjoy views and cocktails under the stars. Guests can at any time take a stroll along the legendary Lungomare promenade, which offers unforgettable views of the Riviera and perfectly complements the stay. Do not miss the classic full body Thai massage, which stimulates acupressure points, encourages muscle stretching, and delivers the effect of passive yoga. This special massage technique restores balance and energy to the body.

Grand Hotel Brioni Pula, A Radisson Collection Hotel

Another luxurious wellness experience on the Adriatic can be found in Pula, located on the Verudela peninsula, which offers breathtaking sunset views. The hotel is known for its modern architecture and sophisticated interior, and what sets it apart from others in the region is the unique wellness concept Gemma di Brioni, which spans an impressive size. It is a modern oasis where everything has been carefully selected to help guests reconnect with themselves and achieve inner peace. Indoor and outdoor pools, a lavishly equipped wellness center with premium beauty products, various types of saunas, an ice shower, relaxation rooms, and a fully equipped gym sound more than sufficient. Special indulgences include facial and body treatments, massages, and hand and foot care. It is no surprise that this is one of the most desirable and truly luxurious destinations for resting both soul and body, with the option to explore Pula’s landmarks or discover a new agrotourism spot.

The modern interior signals a high level of luxury that we like to treat ourselves to from time to time. You can swim in both indoor and outdoor pools, enjoy saunas and baths, and for a special experience there is a private spa and relaxation zone. The range of treatments is individually and thoughtfully designed for each guest, with a special focus on facial treatments.
