The seventeenth issue of Vogue Adria has arrived
NOVI BROJ
October 10, 2025
The new, seventeenth issue of Vogue Adria, available from today at newsstands and in our webshop, is dedicated to longevity — the idea of keeping what truly matters present for as long as possible. That’s why the October issue of Vogue Adria celebrates endurance and the power of creation that stands the test of time.
In search of its meaning, we spoke with Marina Abramović, whose story with Ulay remains an inspiration to this day, and whose body of work has marked the history of contemporary art. For all these reasons, we dedicated a special edition cover to them. The star of the main cover is Sevdaliza — a musician and producer with whom we talked about her new album and the poetry that permeates everything she does. Though they may seem entirely different, what connects these two artists is their shared mission: to question the meaning of womanhood, freedom, and boundaries in the modern world.
Ahead of the release of her new album Heroina, Tara Đukić spoke with Sevdaliza about the contradictions of heritage, self-exploration, and authenticity. “My body has truly been my battlefield, my temple, my canvas,” Sevdaliza shared in an honest interview. TikTok lovers will probably recognize her song Alibi from the very first notes — the track that brought Sevdaliza worldwide success in 2024: it reached the Billboard Hot 100, amassed over 500 million streams on Spotify, and earned her multiple appearances on Madonna’s Celebration tour.
LOVE. HATE. FORGIVENESS. These three words close the circle of the complex relationship between Marina Abramović and Ulay — and the same could be said of the exhibition opening this November in Ljubljana. Speaking about beginnings and endings, Ljubljana and Slavoj Žižek, partnerships and forgiveness, Teodora Jeremić sat down with Marina Abramović. Marina, in fact, insisted that she not appear alone on our cover, but that we use a photograph with Ulay — taken at the time when they first met. “I didn’t want to be photographed alone; this is not just about me, it’s about both of us, me and Ulay. The only photograph that can appear on the cover is the one of the two of us, at the moment we met. That’s the only right thing to do,” she explained in the interview.
Penn Badgley, best known for his roles in the hit series Gossip Girl and You, is opening a new chapter in his life — one that Vogue Adria explores in a special feature. An actor, father, and husband — and now also a writer — he speaks to Vogue Adria about transformation, the challenges of identity, and his first book. “I’ve always been a writer, in one way or another, but now that I have a published book, I suppose I can say it with more certainty. That book is, without a doubt, one of my best works,” he admitted to MJ Molina.
We’ve woven the idea of longevity throughout the entire issue. Trans activist Matija Stefanović writes about the endurance of struggle — the kind fought daily by marginalized communities. Ceramic artists from across the region spoke with Tina Kovačiček about the quiet moments we set aside for ourselves, sharing the lessons they’ve learned from clay. Tena Razumović Žmara explored the fundamental principles of longevity, mapping the Blue Zones within our part of the world. And as we age, our relationship with the body changes — which is why the concept of longevity, a word now so frequently invoked, is unpacked in depth throughout our beauty special dedicated to this theme.
