February is said to be the month of love, but on New Year’s Eve I chose my word for 2026: fun. That means the fairy lights are still on the wall, we dance on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, pick out new dresses again and again, and engage in various delulu conversations. Luckily, streaming platforms are not calling me to spend my evenings under a duvet this time. Long story short, we are not expecting many unmissable premieres, if we exclude the second part of Bridgerton season four on Netflix, a couple of new romantic comedies on Prime Video, and the unconventional series Neighbors by director Marty Supreme on HBO Max. Below, we bring you what you should not miss on streaming platforms in February 2026.
Let the preparations for the Winter Olympics in Milan begin with this three part documentary series from the creators of Simone Biles Rising, which follows three leading ice dancing teams. What makes Glitter & Gold: Ice Dancing particularly compelling is the diversity of its characters. Americans Madison Chock and Evan Bates are an elegant pair whose relationship evolved from professional to romantic. The Canadian duo Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier are boundary pushing athletes with a strong comedic streak. Meanwhile, the French team of Guillaume Cizeron and Laurence Fournier Beaudry function as something of the villains, given that the unexpected comeback of 2022 Olympic champion Cizeron shook up the competition, while Beaudry’s former partner Nikolaj Sørensen was suspended over sexual assault allegations, forcing her into a new partnership. Glitter & Gold follows the year leading up to the Winter Olympics, culminating in the Grand Prix in Nagoya, Japan, in December, which effectively set expectations and the competitive landscape for the Games. What ultimately sets the series apart, however, is the unique motivation of the Olympians and their relationships, not only between partners, but within a small group of athletes bound by a long shared history.

If you are looking for a sweet and entertaining romantic film to watch with a partner or friends on Valentine’s Day, Relationship Goals might be the right choice. Adapted from the bestselling book by pastor Michael Todd, which explores dating, marriage, and sex, the film translates these ideas into an emotional and witty romantic story. The rom com follows Leah Caldwell (Kelly Rowland), an ambitious television producer on the verge of becoming the first woman to host New York’s most watched morning show, until her ex partner Jarrett Roy (Cliff “Method Man” Smith) reappears and applies for the same position. While Jarrett claims he has changed, Leah must navigate both the sudden competition and unresolved feelings from their past. As they both strive for the prestigious role in a demanding newsroom environment, their professional rivalry and personal history begin to collide in compelling ways.

Search Party is one of the best series you probably have not watched. The first two seasons aired on TBS before the show moved to HBO Max for its final three seasons. This sharp critique of millennials lost in post college chaos is now arriving on Netflix. The main character is Dory (Alia Shawkat), a Brooklyn resident who becomes obsessed with the case of a missing person, a former college acquaintance. The mystery is balanced with comedy centered on Dory and her friends, played by John Early, Meredith Hagner, and John Reynolds. Each season takes on unpredictable themes and shifts in focus, while the fifth and final season adopts one of the boldest approaches in comedy and succeeds at it.

The Northern Irish sitcom Derry Girls is one of Netflix’s enduring gems, so the arrival of a new series by its creator Lisa McGee is a true streaming event. This comedic thriller shifts the focus from teenage girls to women in their thirties, when three former high school friends receive a message from a fourth friend from their youth, only to soon learn that she has mysteriously died. Saoirse (Roisin Gallagher, The Lovers), Robyn (Sinead Keenan, Unforgotten), and Dara (Caoilfhionn Dunne, Andor) embark on a tense adventure as they try to piece together the truth from a series of complex, mysterious, and often comic revelations.

How well do you really know your neighbors? This new documentary series, produced by A24 and directed by Josh Safdie (Marty Supreme), follows real people from different parts of the United States. Each episode gives viewers insight into absurd and dramatic neighbor disputes over literally everything, from property lines to personal grudges. The format is clearly unconventional, yes, it sounds like reality TV, but it is also deeply real and honest, reminding us that sometimes differences should be set aside for the sake of the greater good.

Alongside Wuthering Heights in theaters, February also brings other intriguing adaptations, including 56 Days, based on the bestselling novel by Catherine Ryan Howard. This erotic thriller is packed with tension, mystery, and passion. The story follows Oliver Kennedy (Avan Jogia) and Ciara Wyse (Dove Cameron), who meet by chance and begin a relationship that escalates very quickly. Fifty six days after their first encounter, homicide detectives arrive at Oliver’s apartment and discover an unidentified, decomposed body, raising urgent questions about what actually happened. The series alternates between the present day police investigation and past events, gradually revealing how circumstances unfolded in the weeks leading up to that discovery.

Everything changes for Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) when he meets Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha) at his mother’s masquerade ball (Ruth Gemmell). Sophie, who has spent most of her life working as a maid, attends the ball in disguise. Their romance unfolds as Benedict tries to uncover the identity of the “Lady in Silver” in the fourth season of Bridgerton, based on Julia Quinn’s novel An Offer from a Gentleman. Like the third season of the popular period drama, season four is released in two parts of four episodes each, with the first part premiering on January 29 and the final episodes arriving at the end of February.

More than 15 years after the beloved medical comedy Scrubs ended, the series is returning with a new continuation. The world of medicine has changed drastically in the meantime, and best friends J.D. and Turk now find themselves in very different stages of life, yet both are still at Sacred Heart Hospital. The ninth season, which notoriously attempted to revive the series without the main cast, will largely be ignored. Actor Donald Faison even referred to it as an “alternate universe.”

This year belongs to the Beatles. Before the long awaited biopics by Sam Mendes arrive, we will watch the documentary Man on the Run, which follows the life and career of Paul McCartney after the band’s breakup.
