30 most anticipated hotel openings in 2026

Tina Kovačićek

I do not know about you, but with these subzero winter temperatures, which those of us in Zagreb find hard to tolerate unless we are obsessive skiers, I naturally gravitate toward warmer places, at least in my thoughts. I daydream about new destinations, and the fact that new hotels are opening somewhere around the world only speeds up my typing as I start searching for plane tickets.

Italy is currently experiencing a strong wave of new hotel openings, with some of the most intriguing being Orient Express Venezia, set in a powder pink 15th century palace in Venice, and the elegant Corinthia Rome, located in a converted former bank building. New and exciting openings also await in other parts of Europe, such as the innovative wellness retreat Eha in Estonia and the refined Casa Bonavita in Malta, a centuries old family home restored under the guidance of the founder of The Rug Company.

On the other side of the world, in the southernmost city on Earth, Chilean Puerto Williams, Silversea will open The Cormorant in October 2026. We have also singled out several new destinations in Asia and Africa that we are eagerly anticipating. Here is a list of the 30 most exciting hotels, selected by Vogue Adria, opening in 2026.
