The power of transformation in the hands of make-up artists and hair stylists

In a stunning new VOGUE beauty editorial, model Vovk undergoes a mesmerizing transformation, embodying a myriad of personalities through the power of hair and makeup. Inspired by the concept of metamorphosis, the creative team behind this shoot aimed to showcase the versatility of beauty and the ability to reinvent oneself.

A Kaleidoscope of Characters

“Our main inspiration for this shoot was the power of transformation, playing with bold different characters to portray various styles and personalities as if she were a shapeshifter,” explains photographer Fernando Gómez. “Using hair and make-up looks as a tool to convey different moods and allowing the personality of our model to shine through the various characters, from blonde bombshell to punk rocker, Vovk really took on the assignment and embodied all of these personalities as they were parts of a whole.”

The Magic Behind the Lens

Makeup artist Raffaele Romagnoli and hairstylist Marc Perez played a pivotal role in bringing these diverse characters to life. By experimenting with various techniques and volumes, they were able to accentuate Vovk’s natural beauty and create striking visual contrasts.

“We wanted to let our model’s personality shine throughout the whole shoot,” says Romagnoli. “By using different techniques and volumes, we were able to achieve these creative looks while still maintaining her individuality.” The result is a captivating series of images that celebrate the transformative power of beauty. Vovk effortlessly transitions from one character to the next, showcasing the endless possibilities of self-expression.
