The eleventh edition of Vogue Adria has arrived – The Birthday Issue

NOVI BROJ

March 4, 2025

The new, eleventh issue of Vogue Adria, available from today at newsstands and in our webshop, is dedicated to the new season, significant changes, and fresh beginnings. More than just marking the arrival of spring—which, like a true “new year,” brings a surge of fresh energy and new ideas while ushering in both a new calendar and fashion season—this March issue is particularly special as it coincides with the one-year anniversary of Vogue Adria’s debut. This milestone presents the perfect opportunity to embrace the rhythm of change, welcome the new season, and step into another exciting year of our magazine together.

There is no pause in the world of fashion. While the new season brings fresh trends, the excitement is also fueled by major “transfers”—from renowned designers to emerging talents who have yet to prove themselves in the unforgiving fashion scene. The latest issue of Vogue Adria features stories with Alessandro Michele, Sarah Burton, and Haider Ackermann, who have stepped into new creative roles and shared with Vogue what they are preparing for their March debuts. Meanwhile, Seán McGirr has revealed his experiences and vision for the house of McQueen.

The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent has been honored with prestigious awards such as the Palme d’Or and the César, as well as an Academy Award nomination for Best Live Action Short Film. This powerful film, which tells the story of a man who heroically stood up to Serbian paramilitary forces in the mid-1990s, has cemented its place in the history of Croatian cinema. Slijepčević spoke with Tena Razumović Žmara and Arijana Lekić-Fridrih about the film, the awards, his creative process, and tackling difficult subjects. Lekić-Fridrih, through her performance Silent Mass, uses silence in public spaces to highlight the dark sides of patriarchy.

Social media sensation Jasmina TV took Dino Bonačić and her fashion partner David Santa Maria on a shopping adventure, sharing her thoughts on maximalism, the search for personal expression, and how a love for shopping ties into Balkan roots. To top it off, Jasmina and David revealed their favorite vintage spots in Los Angeles. Fashion director Petar Trbović highlighted the most relevant trends for the Spring/Summer 2025 season and spoke with fashion expert and Vogue Business editor Madeleine Schulz about what lies ahead for the industry in the coming year. Tina Lončar explored micro-trends that make it feel like everything is in fashion—and nothing is at the same time—while Nives Bošnjak delved into the overwhelming rise of maximalism and why shoes have become the must-have item of the season.

The new issue also features an interview with supermodel Angelina Kendall, who shares insights into her early steps in fashion and the summer she spent in Croatia. There’s also a deep dive into the new era of beauty—neurocosmetics—while Kristina Mikulić-Gazdović explores the journey back to oneself and the profound impact of long embraces on health, mental well-being, and longevity.

Beyond compelling stories, the issue is enriched with stunning editorials, including The Dream of The Fisherman’s Wife, captured by photographers Karla Jurić and Ive Trojanović from 925 Studio, with fashion direction by Petar Trbović.
