Artificial and vintage fur have once again taken over the streets this winter season. Fur coats reminiscent of those our grandmothers carefully kept in their wardrobes for years, even decades, have dominated the runways in the collections of brands such as Dolce&Gabbana, Elie Saab, Gucci, and Rabanne, while the street style scene, alongside this old money take, has also embraced other, slightly more funky versions, especially those in pastel shades and lengths that reach the thighs.
But beyond coats, this winter we have also reached for faux fur details. The fur stole is one of the most popular fashion accessories of the season. Not only does it keep us warm on cold winter days, it instantly elevates any outfit. This cold season, in addition to refined versions, it is also worn in more eclectic combinations, paired with sporty and casual clothing and footwear such as sneakers. Effortlessly and without any need to follow rules. Ushankas and fur hats of all kinds have also made a strong comeback, along with ear warmers and headbands, and riding the wave of popularity of soft textures, we have happily added a new bag or two to our wardrobes, of course made of fur. It may not keep us warm, but it will certainly look great.
Below, we bring an overview of the most popular fur details this winter, along with suggestions on where to buy them. In addition to protecting our ears and necks from the relentless winter air, fur accessories are always, and unquestionably, stylish.
