Anderson’s Dior cargo trousers and striped ties took over Paris street style

Yesterday at Paris Men’s Fashion Week, Jonathan Anderson presented his second menswear collection for Dior. As expected, fashion insiders, celebrities, and influencers gathered to witness the unfolding of Anderson’s vision for fall 2026, with many doing so dressed in pieces from his spring 2026 collection.
Contrary to predictions, however, instead of the yellow and red Dior Book Tote bag, created as a homage to Bram Stoker’s Dracula and spotted in one of Rihanna’s famous maternity outfits, Paris street style was dominated by oversized cargo trousers, striped ties in various color combinations, the occasional blazer, and elegant black loafers adorned with a subtle gold Dior logo. It seems Anderson is steering the “new” Dior along the paths of Loewe, which fashion audiences loved for its inventiveness and playfulness. Pieces from the upcoming warm-season collection exist at a true intersection of funky aesthetics and wearability. Although we did not witness their dominance in Paris, we still stand by our prediction that bags from The Book Cover Collection will be among the biggest trends of the season. Many more fashion weeks still lie ahead.
