Before the world was introduced to Jonathan Anderson’s debut collection for Dior last June, the French fashion house’s official Instagram profile offered a glimpse into the vision of its new creative director. It was a new version of the iconic Dior Book Tote bag, redesigned by Anderson to resemble an homage to Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula. Rendered in yellow with red lettering, it faithfully echoed the cover of the first edition published back in 1897 in every detail, and the bag was soon spotted in the hands of today’s biggest trendsetters. Rihanna, of course, was just one of them.
The bags were first unveiled as part of the men’s Spring 2026 collection last June, immediately capturing public attention. The hype did its job, and now we have finally seen them become available. To mark the arrival of the new Dior Book Cover Tote bags, the brand launched a campaign shot through the lens of photographer Angèle Châtenet, depicting writers, authors, and lovers of literature among the legendary bookstalls along the banks of the Seine.

The Book Tote model is a symbol of the Dior fashion house, taking on a new look each season. Under Jonathan Anderson’s direction, one of the new designs features the cover of Dior by Dior, the autobiography of the house’s founder Christian Dior, published in 1956. Presented in a cream shade, the bag is embroidered with the signed title, adorned with a delicate pink ribbon. The bag is part of The Book Cover Collection, the Spring/Summer 2026 collection that focuses on iconic works of literature such as Les Liaisons dangereuses by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert, Dracula by Bram Stoker, Ulysses by James Joyce, In Cold Blood by Truman Capote, Les Fleurs du Mal by Charles Baudelaire, and Bonjour Tristesse by Françoise Sagan.

In addition to the aforementioned versions of the iconic bag, the Dior Book Tote has also been reinterpreted in a vintage-effect design. Crafted from canvas with the Dior Oblique motif and framed with delicate lace, a timeless code of the Dior house, the tone-on-tone model in deep navy blue is embellished with a white medallion that alludes to the house’s iconic chairs. Meanwhile, the poetic Buttercup Garden print depicts an abundance of dandelions, evoking Monsieur Dior’s love of flowers and gardens.
Elegant and functional, the bag comes in four sizes. The mini, small, and medium versions feature a shoulder strap with the “Dior” signature, while the large version is finished with a magnetic closure. Beyond the new iterations of the Book Tote bag, long heralded by trendsetters and celebrities alike, The Book Cover Collection also includes T-shirts, scarves, and hoodies that reference the covers of these literary classics, with Bram Stoker’s Dracula also adorning the iconic Dior Saddle Bag.

Although it may feel as though we have already seen the new Dior Book Tote bags countless times, they have only been available in Dior boutiques since January 2026. We are fairly certain that this means these designs will be among the most coveted bags on the street style scene during the upcoming fashion weeks. The yellow Bram Stoker version could well be one of the most popular models of the season.
