Despite snow and unforgiving winter temperatures, Copenhagen has once again burst into color. Naturally, the reason is Copenhagen Fashion Week for autumn winter 2026, which officially began on Monday and runs until January 30, one day shorter than usual. However, although fashion week in the Danish capital has entered its twentieth season with a slightly more compact schedule and fewer runway days, that by no means means that during its run, and afterward, we cannot enjoy everything this city offers on the fashion front, from outstanding designer visions, through street style, which is certainly among the most exciting, and finally, vintage shops.
Vogue’s guide to the best vintage shops in Copenhagen is part of our directory of the best vintage stores in the world, curated by Vogue editors from across the globe. Whether you are traveling and looking for excellent shops to visit or are curious about local vintage treasures, the Vogue directory has everything you need. After Berlin, Paris, New York, and London, we bring you a guide to Copenhagen.
We all already know that Copenhagen is fertile ground for fresh fashion talent. Brands such as Saks Potts, Cecilie Bahnsen, and Astrid Andersen are redefining Danish style, while lesser known designers like Milsted follow in their footsteps. This is a city of creative innovation and progressiveness, but also a place that greatly values history, especially fashion history. Tucked between glossy Holly Golightly and Ganni boutiques in the main shopping zone of Strøget are numerous vintage stores that carefully preserve that heritage.
If you are searching for 1990s Chanel jeans, an 1980s Comme des Garçons dress, or a traditional Japanese silk kimono, shift your attention from current it brands to these vintage shops. In Copenhagen, discovering something old can sometimes be just as exciting as buying something new. Below, we present Vogue’s guide to the best vintage shops in Copenhagen, curated with the help of Vogue Scandinavia editor Allyson Shiffman.

Time’s Up
This small shop is located in the city center, not far from the tourist favorite Round Tower. Time’s Up is packed with vintage finds such as 1990s Chanel jeans, 1960s Yves Saint Laurent dresses and jackets, and plenty of jewelry from fashion houses including Gucci, Escada, and others. They also carry many vintage pieces without labels, whether ruffled blouses or Deco style cocktail dresses. “It offers a desirable mix of designer pieces and unique vintage finds, all at really fair prices,” says Shiffman. “Do not skip the menswear section for excellent jackets and knitwear.”

O-S-V is short for “og så videre,” which in Danish means “and so on,” a reference to the circularity of their secondhand pieces. Founded by Line Øland and Andrea Gry Munch in 2018, OSV aims to be a pleasant place for visitors. Inside the shop there is a café that encourages browsing and lingering. “Shopping here feels like going through your cool Danish friend’s wardrobe, with a solid selection of Danish and international brands,” says Shiffman.

Magnolia’s
Beneath a hat shop on Købmagergade, you will find a store that consistently appears on lists of the city’s best vintage shops, Magnolia’s. “For cool secondhand pieces ranging from Ganni to Chanel, Magnolia’s is your place,” says Shiffman. Most of their treasures are also available online.

Here is another destination for cool vintage pieces in Copenhagen, with the added bonus that there are actually two locations, one in the city center and another in Charlottenlund. Those looking for a refined secondhand shopping experience will be delighted by the almost new condition of the pieces on offer. There is also their own private label if you are looking for something new. Shoppers will also find their entire selection online.
Address: Gl. Kongevej 101, 1850 Frederiksberg
A small shop near Copenhagen Cathedral, also known as Vor Frue Kirke, Carmen is filled with vintage silk Japanese kimonos. It also has a brilliant selection of shoes by designers such as Bruno Magli and Yves Saint Laurent, as well as a small section of beautiful old wedding dresses. You will not find many big designer names at Carmen, but their kimonos, hair accessories, heels, and dresses make it well worth a visit.

Jérôme
Located in the Vesterbro district, Jérôme Vintage is housed in a bright and airy shop with modern details, including a polished concrete floor and a mirror at the checkout. The beloved vintage destination, founded by Pia Anna Kierulff, is known for “exceptionally curated luxury vintage pieces with Nordic minimalism,” says Shiffman. Here you will find a wide range of vintage items such as tourist T-shirts, 1970s Courrèges, 1950s Dior costume jewelry, and printed Hermès tights. The shop also has its own label, Jerome Studio.
