The world of haircare has never felt more exciting, but it has also never been more confusing. Patented complexes, new ingredients, finely tuned formulas powered by innovative botanical extracts and devices that track heat to prevent damage. This year was anything but dull for anyone who cares about their hair. To find out what the experts actually rate, I turned to Milena Maršić, creative director and owner of the well-known Zagreb salon Glamour.
Over her long career, Milena has created some of the most memorable editorial hairstyles and looks, both for Vogue and for many other fashion publications. Beauty and fashion insiders know her work is uncompromising and consistently inventive, and she has built her reputation as one of the most respected hair stylists in the region.
With so much experience and an even deeper well of knowledge, I wanted to know which products managed to impress her this year and meet her high standards. Below, discover her top 10 hair products of 2025.
1/ Alfaparf Milano Liquid Glass Lamellar Water
Why she recommends it: This standout launch from Alfaparf leaves hair smoother, shinier and easier to style from the very first use. It tames frizz and creates a laminated finish. Thanks to its lightweight texture, it never weighs the hair down and works for all hair types, including chemically treated or bleached hair. The results can last for up to four months.
2/ GHD Hair Wave Triple Barrel
Why she recommends it:This phenomenal hair waver has a fixed operating temperature of 185°C, creating long-lasting, stylish waves without the negative effects of excessive heat. Thanks to the ergonomic three-barrel design, the waves are even, soft, and defined by a pronounced beach-wave texture.
3/ Kevin Murphy Body.Mass Leave-In Plumping Condition Treatment
Why she recommends it: If you’re looking to boost volume fast, try this Kevin Murphy treatment. It thickens and strengthens the hair from the roots in seconds, thanks to antioxidant-rich oleanolic acid and extracts of parsley, citrus and ginger. The result is hair that looks fuller, healthier and shinier, with a noticeable lift.
4/ Kevin Murphy Everlasting Colour Leave-in
Why she recommends it: This lightweight spray doesn’t need to be rinsed out and is specially designed for color-treated hair. Its acidic pH formula strengthens the hair, improves resilience and protects the color from external stressors, while also hydrating and adding shine. It leaves the hair silky and makes detangling much easier.
5/ Philip B. Weightless Miracle Serum
Why she recommends it: She loves the light texture of this emulsion and uses it on all hair types for shine, hydration and easier styling. It’s packed with hyaluronic acid, prickly pear, acai berries, green tea and cucumber extract, so beyond its fully vegan formula, it’s simply a pleasure to work with and to wear in the hair.
6/ Dyson Supersonic Nural
Why she recommends it: All Dyson dryers are great, but the newest model is a clear upgrade of the original Supersonic. It brings the brand’s most advanced technology so far, with smart features like automatic temperature adjustment to prevent heat damage. It even recognizes which attachment you’re using and adjusts the settings for the best result, while built-in sensors protect the scalp from excessive heat. It’s also incredibly easy to handle and helps you direct the airflow exactly where you need it.
7/ Philip B. Velvet Oud Leave In-Conditioning Water
Why she recommends it: Another fragrant standout from Philip B., this lightweight spray is a leave-in that instantly makes the hair shiny and silky. It blends botanicals like rosemary, chamomile, hops and nettle with the luxurious Velvet Oud scent, a warm floral that not only smells beautiful but also leaves the hair smooth and radiant.
8/ Olivia Garden Expert Blowout Shine
Why she recommends it: The Olivia Garden brush is perfect for blow-drying hair of all lengths, as it leaves hair smooth and shiny, reduces frizz, and enhances the volume and shape of every hairstyle. It is exceptionally easy to handle and works equally well for straightening hair as it does for blow-drying wavy styles, thanks to its wavy bristles and square ceramic base.
9/Alfaparf Milano Nutri-luxe Oil
Why she recommends it: New-generation hair oils are a great way to deliver deep hydration, leaving the hair smooth, soft and glossy, and this professional Alfaparf oil is a perfect example. With a vegan formula and no harsh chemical additives, it’s also ideal for color-treated hair thanks to the gentle balance of its active ingredients.
10/ Alterna Caviar Moisture Intensive Ceramide Shots
Why she recommends it: These small capsules are concentrated treatment shots packed with ceramides and caviar extract that deeply nourish, hydrate and repair the hair. They’re ideal for dry, fragile strands damaged by excessive heat styling. If you like intensive treatments and want an extra dose of care, this is a great choice.
