The secret to Anne Hathaway’s vitality lies in a ritual that’s simple (and works!)

There are actresses who defy time, and then there is Anne Hathaway, a woman who looks as if she’s figured out how to slip past it with grace. When the trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2 dropped recently, I couldn’t believe how incredible Anne Hathaway looks.

The first time I watched her play the clumsy assistant was nearly twenty years ago, and it feels like she hasn’t changed at all since. The answer to her fantastic appearance may partly lie in the offices of certain doctors, but still, Andy… pardon, Anne… is well known for her beauty and well-being rituals that are surprisingly easy to incorporate into everyday life.

And I don’t mean the usual smoothie tips and clean-eating advice. Anne, along with her personal trainers, has shared several times what helps her feel and look her best. Below are the habits that stood out to me the most.

1 / She works out every morning

Although she goes through phases when she skips workouts, she generally sticks to her morning exercise rule. She usually sets aside about an hour a day, but she doesn’t rely on just one type of activity. Variety matters to her, so her routine includes pilates, yoga, resistance training, and balance- and core-focused movements. That one hour makes a big difference in maintaining her vitality.

While looking into Anne Hathaway’s wellness and well-being habits, I came across one I’m very ready to adopt. Before any workout, the body needs to warm up — and according to Anne, the best and most enjoyable option is dancing.
