Glubbel is the Scandinavian two ingredient cocktail set to define the winter season

Our colleagues from Vogue Scandinavia have shared a holiday drink recipe we never knew we needed. Glubbel is a made up combination of the Swedish words for glögg and the sparkling wine known as bubbel. It is a playful, spiced cocktail that works equally well for a traditional glögg gathering or a festive aperitif. The combination may sound unusual, but once you try it, you will not regret it. In this recipe, we use white mulled wine instead of the traditional red, which makes this drink an even bigger surprise for your guests.

Ingredients

For 10 servings

• 750 ml (one bottle) of sparkling wine of your choice
• 400 ml mulled white wine
• Holiday garnishes of your choice

Preparation

1. Pour 1/3 wine and 2/3 sparkling wine into champagne glasses or mugs. Make sure both drinks are well chilled straight from the refrigerator.
2. Garnish the cocktail with a sprig of rosemary, slices of fresh ginger, a cinnamon stick, or dried bitter orange peel.
3. Enjoy!
