December 4, 2025

The tree is finally up, the holidays are planned down to the last detail, and the wrappers from advent calendars are scattered all over the apartment. It can only mean one thing: the year is coming to an end, the holidays are approaching, and with them, the traditional Spotify Wrapped numbers. Yes, it is officially too late to start strategically listening to different music in hopes of fixing your algorithm. Everyone will know if you have been playing the Swag album on repeat since July or if the release of Wicked: For Good reminded you how much you love powerful musical numbers. Judging by Instagram, everyone has checked their listening habits for 2025. Do not be embarrassed if your results range from Nirvana to Silvana. But what does the global picture look like? Below we reveal the most streamed artists, followed by the top songs, albums, audiobooks, and podcasts of the past year. It is never too late to discover something new to enjoy during the sparkling days of the Christmas break.

Bad Bunny is once again Spotify’s most streamed artist of the year

For the fourth time, after winning the same title in 2020, 2021, and 2022, users named Bad Bunny Spotify’s global artist of the year with 19.8 billion streams in 2025. He also won the title of the most streamed global album of 2025 with DeBÍ TiRAR Más FOToS. To mark this achievement, Spotify is launching a global campaign dedicated to him and his fans, including a short film titled Leap Year, special fan activations around the world, and surprises on the platform itself. The top five also includes Taylor Swift in second place (but first in the United States), followed by The Weeknd in third, Drake in fourth, and Billie Eilish in fifth place.
