When I heard that the luxury niche perfume house Fueguia 1833 was opening a new gallery at 104 Mount Street in London, I immediately added another spot to the list of places I need to visit the next time I am in the city.
For a high end perfume brand founded in 2010 as an homage to the Indigenous communities of South America and their knowledge of aromatic and medicinal plants, this marks the beginning of a new chapter in its expanding global network devoted to botanical exploration and artistic perfumery. This is Fueguia’s fourteenth location, with upcoming openings in Mexico, China, and California that will further strengthen the brand’s presence in key cultural and creative hubs.

Inspired by London’s tradition of fine art, collecting, and auctions, the Mount Street gallery reflects the city’s appreciation for craftsmanship and lasting value, principles that are deeply woven into Fueguia’s philosophy. “London is a global capital of connoisseurs. We envisioned Mount Street not only as a gallery but as a destination for collectors, a place of discovery that becomes part of the city’s tradition of celebrating exceptional and timeless objects,” says Julian Bedel, the founder, artist, and perfumer who describes his approach to perfumery as a fusion of scientific ethnobotany, art, and natural heritage.

The London location is the first gallery devoted primarily to the Vintage Cave collection, the most extensive archive of time matured perfumes, including creations that have been aged for more than a decade. Fueguia Vintage Cave London invites scent explorers to experience the transformative power of time in perfumery. I told you that something truly special awaits here. For the first time in a gallery setting, the brand is presenting two remarkable expressions. “Vintage Editions are perfumes aged for at least five years. With time, they deepen their tones and reveal new layers along with richer interpretations of the original compositions. We will also present Aged Essence for the first time in London. These are pure alcohol free essences that continue to evolve over the years, revealing the fragrance in its most intimate, living form.” The conclusion is that a perfume here is not viewed as a static object but as an organism that shifts in character, balance, and depth. Time becomes an essential force within the olfactory composition.
Alongside the rare Vintage editions, the gallery is presenting an exclusive project titled Stradivari, scheduled for its official launch in 2026. Created in collaboration with the Museo del Violino in Cremona, the project uses advanced headspace technology to capture the volatile molecules still released by two century old Stradivari violins without any contact or impact on their structure. This unique limited edition perfume, produced in one hundred bottles and priced at 30,000 euros, brings together music, history, and perfumery in a multisensory experience unlike anything previously seen in the world of fragrance.

The gallery is entirely envisioned and designed by Julian Bedel. The space spans two floors and is conceived as a complete artistic environment featuring Sardinian clay walls, handmade furniture crafted from walnut, cherry, and maple, lighting fixtures created by Fueguia’s own artisans, textiles from the historic Venetian house Rubelli, four guitars personally shaped by Bedel, and the iconic Utrecht armchairs by Gerrit Rietveld for Cassina as an homage to European design heritage. The ground floor is dedicated to the Vintage Cave collection, while the lower level is intended as a quiet space for exploration and creation. This is where private consultations, masterclasses, and scent composition sessions take place. Guests can select two or three perfumes which Bedel then merges into a new personalized formula, engraved and tailored to their individual scent identity.

Fueguia Mount Street will host a series of cultural and educational events that include explorations of perfume aging processes, gatherings dedicated to the Atlas de Ingredientes curated selection of raw materials, and interdisciplinary sessions that connect scent with music, art, and science. With the opening of the Mount Street gallery, Fueguia 1833 reinforces its vision of perfume as a living archive that carries memory, emotion, history, and endless creative potential. Fueguia 1833 fragrances are also available at Lana perfumeries.
