The Pink Villa in Mallorca Set the Scene for a Football Star’s Dream Wedding

Architecture and the atmosphere it brings can often feel like an extra guest at a wedding – one that everyone talks about and feels comfortable around. This was the idea behind Nathan Redmond and his partner Blaise Redmond when choosing the location for the most special day of their lives. The well-known English footballer, who once played for Southampton FC, met his future wife five years ago via Instagram messages. After their engagement and a custom-made “Tree of Life” (which Nathan designed, Blaise quietly reveals), they tied the knot this summer at a truly unique venue.

“Our relationship has always been very easy and natural. We enjoy the simple things in life, time spent with our children and family, and we wanted our wedding day to reflect that. Intimacy and simplicity were the most important to us,” Blaise tells Vogue Adria, adding that they have spent the past five years building a family with their three children, Blondie, Knight, and Smokey.

As they planned their wedding over the course of a year and a half, finding a venue that truly felt like “theirs” was no easy task. “Our style is cool and modern, yet very simple and elegant. When choosing a location, we had to think about what made sense for both of us – something that reflects who we are and our everyday vibe.” The clean lines and understated simplicity of the pink-hued, architecturally flawless Neuendorf House immediately won them over. “Bold and modern, yet so simple that it will remain a timeless venue forever,” Blaise explains.

The color of the walls was the decisive detail they wanted to make the most of and play with in the best possible way. “Every wedding we had seen there before was very simple- wooden furniture and white flowers. All of it, of course, beautiful, but we wanted to make use of that wall color,” says Blaise, who, together with their wedding planners, came up with the idea to go monochromatic. “I’ve always loved pink, and the idea of pink on pink was exciting and completely new. We decided to contrast it with burgundy flowers and stationery details to add depth, and everything came together perfectly.”

Blaise wore the Besette gown by J Andreatta as her second choice. She had initially opted for a Vivienne Westwood dress, but when she saw the Besette model at New York Bridal Fashion Week, she “was completely breathless,” she says. “As soon as fashion week ended, Lyndsey from Amare Bride immediately sent it over for me to try on. The moment I put it on, I knew it was the one.” For the evening part of the celebration, Blaise chose a Vivienne Westwood mini dress, so she had the best of both worlds, she adds. Nathan wore a Dior suit -“clean and simple!”

As a special moment of the wedding, Blaise highlights the looks they shared at a key moment. “Looking directly into each other’s eyes, completely forgetting that anyone else was around us, was a feeling I will never forget. I was also blessed to wear my best friend’s engagement ring, whom we, unfortunately, lost a year earlier. Having her ‘with me’ that day was incredibly special and meaningful to me.”
